I've been investigating the Adani mine project quite extensively these last few months. I have spoken to the Prime Minister and Matt Canavan this week, asking them to put a stop to Adani owning this vital rail infrastructure project and instead we build it as a national piece of infrastructure.

Imagine if we owned an asset that was making us money again....

Most young people wouldn't remember the days when the Government owned money making assets, because we flogged them all off to overseas buyers.

While I support the mine going ahead, I do not agree with letting Adani build and own the rail line with our money.

Here are the facts for you to decide:

• We are about to lend up to $1 billion dollars for Adani to build a $2 billion dollar railway in Central Queensland.
• The rail line will measure approximately 310km in length and run from the mine to port.
• The rail will carry 60 million tonnes of coal each year for Adani
• The mine will have a life expectancy of 60 years
• 60 million tonnes of coal, multiplied by 60 years = 3.6 billion tonnes of coal
• Coal trains in the Hunter Valley pay cartage to get their coal from mine to port by the tonne.
• If the Australian Government were to build the rail line for $2 billion dollars and charge Adani $5 dollars per tonne for its service (approx half the regular rate) it would earn the Australian people $300 million per year.
• If the Australian Government charged Adani the full standard cartage rate of $10 dollars per tonne, it would earn the Australian people $600 million per year.
• It's understood other mines in the Central Queensland Coal Basin will also be using the rail line to cart similar amounts of coal from mine to port. But if the railway line is owned by Adani, they'll be forced to pay between $300 million and $600 million dollars which will end up going to another multinational company to take out of the country.
• We can own this rail line ourselves and over its 60 life, earn in excess of $36 billion dollars for a simple $2 billion dollar investment. If we allow other mines to use the track too, it will earn us over $100 billion dollars over the 60 year life.

I might be a fish and chip lady to some of you, but I was a bloody good business women. Our Government are treating our country like a latenight Demtel commercial. Instead of giving away steak knives, we're throwing in a railway line, royalty free periods and the list goes on. WAKE UP AUSTRALIA, we're not some cheap giveaway product.

Something stinks about this deal we're about to do. It's time we make a little bit of noise and change the Governments way of thinking before we lose this great infrastructure project to another multinational.

How grubby are Labor! This is very poor form from their candidate in Callide.

Make sure people are aware of the antics they're up to.

On the Gold Coast Labor are telling people to only mark 1 on the ballot which is COMPLETELY WRONG! YOU MUST NUMBER EVERY BOX in the order you want the candidates to win.

The tactics of the Labor Party is dodgy to say the least.

Had a great chat last night with Steve Price and Andrew Bolt about tomorrow's state election in Queensland. I think the other tired old parties are in for a shock.

It's the final day of the Queensland election campaign and all three party leaders made their final pitch with Karl Stefanovic on the Today Show.

I'm very proud of Steve Dickson MP who's remained dedicated to the people of Buderim and extended his commitment to the entire state of Queensland in the lead up to this election.

I trust the people of Buderim will see the role he will play in... View more »

This morning I caught up with Dobbo on his show Rural Queensland Today to talk about why One Nation's Queensland election campaign has been so strong and why there is a good chance the Labor party could be facing leadership chaos after the election.

The LNP and Labor might have forgotten about rural Queensland but One Nation has not. One Nation will make sure that rural Queensland finally... View more »

As you know, I've called on the Queensland Labor to disendorse Adrian Tantari - Labor Candidate for Hervey Bay for his vile behaviour this election.

His obscene language posted to my candidate Damian Huxham's Facebook page, physical assault on Damian at the pre-polling booth in front of his 9 year old daughter and giving me the finger as I drove off today is a good indication of the cowards... View more »

I hate bullies!

My candidate for Hervey Bay has been subjected to constant, grubby behaviour by Labor’s candidate, Adrian Tantari.

From profanity posted by this grub to my candidates Facebook page, to assault that’s been reported to police this election. I wasn’t going to take him giving me the finger as I drove off from the polling booth in Hervey Bay.

You’re damn right I got out of the... View more »

My favourite day of the campaign!

Did you know the Qld Premier banned the sale of pre-mixed drinks with an alcohol content of 5% from being sold after midnight in pubs and clubs?

Strange how they’ll allow the sale of a pint of beer that contains 2.25 standard drinks and the a large glass of wine that has 1.9 standard drinks, but they won’t allow the sale of Bundaberg Rum OP cans that have... View more »

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull doesn't think a Royal Commision into the banks is necessary and former Labor Premier of Queensland Anna Bligh now works for the banks so it is no surprise she doesn't want to see a Royal Commission.

But I would like to see a Royal Commission into the banks called before Christmas!

It looks like we have the numbers in Parliament so now is the time to make it... View more »

It's time grown ups with backbone were elected this Queensland election so we can get the place back on its feet and working.

There's no place this election for the arrogance both of the two tired, old party's show towards you as voters.

If we're going to have any change in this country, we need to start by electing people who want to REPRESENT you.

We'd really love your number 1 vote, but... View more »

It's been a big day and it still isn't over. I started my morning in Cairns and Gordonvale before getting word that my daughter was going into labour with her second child.

I made the decision to be with her, which has meant I've had to put a hold on returning to the Queensland election campaign tomorrow to be with her for the special occasion.

I've always said, People Before Politics, and... View more »

Thank you to everyone who came along today to say hello in Mareeba, Mossman and Mount Molloy.

We've discussed so many issues today and I have to admit, the people up here simply want to be heard and someone to take action on their behalf. Not that hard really!

It's time to get into the motel and have a good nights rest to get around Cairns, Gordonvale and Port Douglas tomorrow.

Welcome to the forgotten land of Mareeba.

I left a drenched Brisbane this morning and arrived in sunny North Queensland this afternoon to come and speak to the locals about the funding cuts to the Mareeba Hospital and the community at the Mareeba Heritage Coffee House.

I’m off to Mossman later today, so if you see me, come and say g’day.
